Jack Russell Terrier

The Jack Russell Terrier is a small, energetic breed known for its intelligence and lively personality. Weighing between 13 to 17 pounds (6 to 8 kg) and standing about 10 to 15 inches (25 to 38 cm) tall at the shoulder, they have a compact, muscular build. Their short coat can be smooth, rough, or broken, often featuring a predominantly white color with black or brown markings.

Originally bred for fox hunting, Jack Russells are highly active and require plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. They are known for their tenacity, agility, and playful nature, making them excellent companions for active families. While they are affectionate and loyal to their owners, they can also be independent and stubborn, requiring consistent training and socialization from a young age. Their spirited demeanor and intelligence make them both delightful pets and challenging to manage without proper guidance.
